JC Bose University organizes Blood Donation Camp 

Pnn/Faridabad: J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in collaboration with Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Faridabad and Rotary Blood Centre Faridabad today organized a voluntary Blood Donation Camp in the University premises.

The blood donation camp was formally inaugurated by Prof S.K. Tomar, Vice-Chancellor of the University and Rakesh Gupta, President of Bharat Vikas Parishad. They motivated students to volunteer for blood donation. The camp was organized with the technical support provided by Dr Suraj Prakash Arogya Kendra under Bharat Vikas Parishad. Prof. Munish Vashishath, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Sandeep Grover, Dean (Institution) and officials from Bharat Vikas Parishad including Ashok Goyal, Vivek Aggarwal, Ramesh Aggarwal, Sameer Sharma and other members were also present on this occasion and encouraged the students for voluntary blood donation.

The camp saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 250 volunteers including students, faculty, and staff members. The participation of girl students was encouraging. The donors and volunteers received a certificate of recognition from Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar. The camp was coordinated by YRC program coordinator Dr Navish Kataria and YRC Counsellors Dr Ashima Sharma and Dr Rahul Arya along with YRC volunteers.

Speaking on this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. S.K. Tomar congratulated the officials for the successful organization of the blood donation camp and appreciated their efforts to contribute towards this social cause. The Vice-Chancellor said that blood donation is a noble cause and the greatest service to humanity. It inculcates a sense of responsibility towards society in the students. It is also very critical and crucial for saving the lives of many patients and those who have met with accidents, and it is a great service to society, he added.

Dean Student Welfare Prof. Munish Vashishath extended gratitude towards the officials of Bharat Vikas Parishad and Rotary Blood Centre Faridabad for their support in conducting the camp.
