One-day seminar on ‘India-2047: A Vision’ organized at JC Bose University

Pnn/Faridabad: Bharat Seva Pratishthan, in collaboration with J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, organized a one-day seminar titled ‘India-2047: A Vision,’ drawing a crowd of over 200 enthusiastic participants. The event featured distinguished speakers and experts who delved into various facets of India’s progressive vision for the future.
Renowned Social Scientist Sh. Ravi Ayyar set the tone as the inaugural speaker, while former Director General of DRDO Dr. Sudarshan Kumar delivered an enlightening keynote address. Dr. J.P. Sharma, former Vice Chancellor of Jammu Agricultural University, graced the session as the esteemed chief guest. The discussions revolved around pivotal sub-topics including India’s vision for progress, encompassing aspects of economy, agriculture, science and technology, research and innovation, environment, health, and education.
The seminar commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the esteemed speakers, setting a ceremonial tone for the insightful discussions that followed. Shri Krishna Singhal, Chairman of Bharat Seva Pratishthan, provided an informative overview of the seminar’s theme and introduced the eminent speakers, shedding light on the organization’s initiatives and activities.
In his address, Vice-Chancellor of J.C. Bose University, Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, extended a warm welcome to the guest speakers and emphasized the significance of the seminar’s theme. Prof. Tomar highlighted the importance of fostering innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable development towards achieving India’s vision of advancement by 2047. He stressed the pivotal role of science, technology, research, and innovation in driving the nation towards progress, advocating for a culture of curiosity, increased investment in research infrastructure, and interdisciplinary collaboration to address societal challenges effectively.
During the inaugural session, Shri Ravi Iyyer deliberated on the challenges posed by technological advancements, citing examples of companies that failed to adapt, emphasizing the critical role of technology in national progress. Keynote speaker Dr. Sudarshan Kumar elucidated on India’s envisioned progress by 2047, drawing insights from China’s journey to superpower status and emphasizing the evolution of science and technology within the country.
Chief guest Dr. J.P. Sharma highlighted the pivotal role of youth empowerment, emphasizing the significance of the National Education Policy, 2020, in skill development and fostering entrepreneurial spirit among young individuals. The session culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Jagdish Chaudhary, President of Green India Foundation Trust, acknowledging the valuable contributions of all participants and speakers.
Esteemed speakers including Former Director General (MP&PS) Army HQ Lt. General V.K. Chaturvedi, Vice Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, Dr. Rajnikanth, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Prof. S.P. Bansal, and GOC Western Command Lt. Gen. K.J. Singh, along with various dignitaries, students, and educationists, enriched the program with their insights. A student interaction session further enhanced the seminar’s engagement, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and learning.
Vice Chancellor of Gurugram University, Prof. Dinesh Kumar, former Registrar of JC Bose University Dr. Sunil Kumar Garg, former Scientist of IOCL Gangashankar Mishra, educationist Dr. Savita Bhagat were also present on this occasion.
