30th International Conference RASTS-2024 Concludes at JC Bose University, Faridabad
The 30th International Conference of The International Academy of Physical Sciences
Faridabad, 29 February – The 30th International Conference of the International Academy of Physical Sciences (CONIAPS XXX), focusing on Recent Advances in Science and Technology towards Sustainability (RASTS-2024), organized by J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, concluded today. The conference drew participation from over 200 esteemed delegates and researchers from both India and abroad.
In the valedictory session, the eminent Prof. Sunita Srivastava from the Central University of Haryana, Mahendergarh, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Prof. Toshifumi Dohi from Ritsumeikan University, Japan, was honored as the guest of honour. The session was presided over by Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, Vice-Chancellor of the University, underscoring the significance of the event.
Dr. Ravi Kumar, Chairperson of the Department of Chemistry and Convener of the Conference, provided an insightful summary of the conference proceedings. He highlighted that the two-day conference featured the presentation of approximately 170 research papers and posters across 10 technical sessions, alongside expert talks delivered by 16 distinguished speakers during the four Plenary Sessions, all aligned with the conference’s central theme.
The conference witnessed the participation from 15 states of India, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Delhi, Telangana, and Himachal Pradesh, as well as international representation from Japan, Russia, and the USA.
Prof. H. S. Dhami, President of the International Academy of Physical Sciences (IAPS), shared his valuable insights and experiences from the Conference, emphasizing the importance of such collaborative platforms. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar extended his heartfelt congratulations to the organizing team for the resounding success of the Conference, acknowledging the immense contributions made in advancing scientific discourse and collaboration.
Expressing gratitude, Prof. Atul Mishra, Convener of the conference and Chairperson of the Department of Computer Engineering, extended a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the dedicated efforts of the Conference conveners, including Prof. Neetu Gupta, Dean (Sciences and Life Sciences), Prof. Anuradha Sharma, Prof. Maneesha Garg, Director (R&D), and Prof. Sonia Bansal, Chairperson, Department of Physics, whose tireless endeavors significantly contributed to the success of the Conference.
