pnn/Faridabad: As many as 18 cadets of NCC Army Wing of J.C. Bose University of science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, have participated in the Annual Training Camp (ATC-107) held in Gurugram from October 20 to 29, 2023 and qualified for NCC ‘B’ Certification.
During the camp, the cadets showcased their talents and skills in a variety of cultural and sports activities. Their remarkable achievements include participation in Marathon, Kho kho, Relay Race, Tug of War, Volleyball, and Debate competitions, where they not only participated with enthusiasm but also clinched medals and certificates. The cadets who brought honor to their university through their achievements are: Bharti, Sneha, Sonia, Tanu Malik, Meghana, Ayushi, Pooja, Puneet, and Yash.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar congratulated the NCC cadets for their exceptional achievements and commended their commitment and the positive image they have portrayed for the university through their accomplishments. Dean (Institution) Prof. Sandeep Grover also congratulated the cadets for their achievements.
Dr. Mahesh Chand, Associate NCC Officer, Army Wing, expressed his delight at the outstanding performance of the university cadets amongst 795 cadets who participated across the country in the camp. He shared that these cadets secured an impressive tally of 16 gold medals and one silver medal across various sports and cultural activities. Their commitment to excellence and the spirit of sportsmanship they displayed were truly commendable.
Dr. O P Mishra, the incharge of the Centre for NCC, said that the NCC cadets of the University have exhibited unwavering determination and teamwork during the Annual Training Camp. Their impressive medal haul underscores the university’s commitment to holistic development and excellence.
